1937 KITCHEN

This kitchen remodel transformed a dated 1980s space into a layout that both honors the home's original 1930s character and meets modern-day functionality. One of the biggest challenges was removing a wall initially thought to be non-load-bearing—which turned out to be structural. The team brought in an engineer and installed steel beams to support the new open layout. A standout design feature was relocating the sink to a back window bump-out, turning a once-overlooked corner into a centerpiece with expanded counter space and natural light. Custom cabinetry was provided by 1951 Cabinetry, with a statement island crafted by Contemporary Woods. The result is a refined, timeless kitchen that blends thoughtful craftsmanship with classic design.
