1935 KITCHEN

This small-space kitchen remodel was all about maximizing efficiency without sacrificing beauty. The original layout was cramped and outdated, and once the walls were opened up, it became clear that extensive repairs were needed—none of the framing was straight, and underlying damage required a full gut and rebuild. The new design focused on clean lines and smart spatial planning, incorporating higher floating shelves to visually open the room and highlight the penny tile backsplash. Every detail was carefully considered to bring a classic feel with subtle mid-century influences. The result is a compact but highly functional kitchen with warmth, character, and charm.
